Applications on metal surfaces

Aluminium, Iron, Steel, Stainless Steel, etc.

During the heat curing process, the coated surface is exposed to a temperature of 300°C in order to ensure full coating bonding with the substrate.

Applications on composite material surfaces

Glass, Carbon fibers, Polyurethane resin etc.

During the heat curing process, thermal exposure of the treated surface can reach a maximum temperature of 80°C. A layer of primer might be required to increase adhesion to the substrate. Silicon Tech coating experts will assess its actual need by performing specific tests. Curing processes take place in industrial convection ovens, where even heat distribution and computerized temperature control prevent the processed part from deformation, ensuring excellent results.

Use guidelines

It is strongly advised to avoid impacts, abrasions and/or other mechanical stress that might damage the coating film and therefore hinder its function.

Maintenance guidelines

The coating features great non-stick properties that make the cleaning process easy to perform, even in dirty environments. However, in early months of use, a regular check-up of the coating is recommended to ensure flawless functional performances of coated parts, components or plants.

Wear and Refurbishment

Coatings are subject to wear. Increasing wear leads to progressive loss of non-stick and anticorrosive properties. A regular check-up is recommended to ensure excellent functional performances. The coating film can be restored, even on a scheduled basis, by delivering the coated parts to Silicon Tech. Herein a highly specialized team will perform a full recovery.
